About Reviews Matter for FFXIV
2010-10-13 17:58:15 EDIT

Today we will tell you much about FFXIV review. Curious about what does it happen? Follow us and have a look at it:

Until recently, there haven’t been a lot of opinions about FFXIV coming from the larger gaming sites. This may be due to a rumor that Square Enix asked game review sites to wait 3-4 weeks before posting reviews so the community had some time to develop. But now that a few weeks have passed, reviews are starting to trickle out and things don’t look pretty so far.

The Big Ones
Some of the larger, well known game review sites have published their reviews so far:

  • GameSpot – 4.0 out of 10
  • GameTrailers – 4.2 out of 10
  • Gamespy – 2 out of 5
  • IGN – 5.5 out of 10

Meta Review Site:
MetaCritic – 56 out of 100 from review sites. 4.2 out of 10 from users.

Fan Sites
The only FFXIV fan site to post comments about the game so far has been Eorzeapedia, which talks about the problems of not having an auction house. They also posted a poll asking their users to vote on the current state of the game.

Do These Reviews Matter?
In the end, it’s up to you if you want to play the game or not. These reviews point out what almost everyone around the internet has been saying since the games launch on September 22. Even with the negative comments these reviewers have made, many players will continue to play. There are many enjoyable aspects to this game, but can you put up with the missing features and lag until they are resolved?
